Oliver Sava New York Magazine/Vulture A charming coming-of-age story wrapped in postapocalyptic tragedy, Sweet Tooth manages to address its horrific circumstances with tenderness and warmth. Rated: 4/5 Dec 9, 2021 Full Review Ben Dowell The Times (UK) It seems unfair to call a drama about a ruined world a mess, but this feels, quite deliberately, all over the place. Dec 9, 2021 Full Review Keith Phipps TV Guide Visually striking and grippingly plotted up to a cliffhanger of a season finale, Sweet Tooth is suspenseful, thoughtful, and timely in ways that couldn't have been planned. Rated: 4/5 Dec 9, 2021 Full Review Dónal Lynch Sunday Independent (Ireland) It’s extremely sweet in parts, with creatures and characters that might have come from Jim Henson’s workshop, and nostalgia that recalls the likes of Stranger Things and Sweet Tooth’s own origins as a comic strip. Jan 29, 2024 Full Review Rob Owen Pittsburgh Tribune-Review A true original that’s completely strange, Mrs. Davis is a breath of fresh air in a reboot-happy medium. Apr 21, 2023 Full Review Jennifer Bisset CNET Echoes with real-world struggles can be heard in the treetops of this immersive, riveting fantasy world. Genre fans settle in for this fantastic ride. Mark B Great start to a really grounded, touching fantasy tale Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/23/25 Full Review Benjamin S Watched the whole show, cried more times than I can count. 10/10 would recommend. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/26/25 Full Review Oakley A Season 1 introduced itself as a unique and interesting story with memorable characters. Unfortunately, that seems to be where it peaked. Season 2 and 3 seemed to deteriorate immensely in their writing the further the story went on, the later story moved way too quickly for its own good, and plot points seemed to be added en masse just for the sake of keeping the show going. Still cried at the ending, though. TL;DR - A unique series, but wouldn't recommend watching past S1. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/07/25 Full Review Audience Member The show is just depressing. I don't know why anyone would want to watch children suffering at the hands of terrible people. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/25 Full Review Autresa K I really enjoyed the series. The story is written beautifully. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/24/24 Full Review Novella H An endearing story, beautiful acting. Loved every minute. Of course cried like a baby at the ending!
