Stephanie Morgan Common Sense Media The reliance on clichés and the heavy-handed use of a cheesy piano score further emphasize the show's struggle to find its footing between being a faith-based family drama and a compelling narrative that resonates with a broader audience. Apr 17, 2024 Full Review Jackie K. Cooper jackiekcooper.com A modern day "The Waltons" but with more money and better clothes. For those who are fans having three seasons available to stream is a real plus. Rated: 7/10 Apr 6, 2024 Full Review Jesse Hassenger Decider If you’re secular enough to watch almost anything else, start with that – and if you’re a big fan of the Baxters, it sounds like there are literally dozens of books that offer more immediate variety than Kari’s divorce saga. Louise C A very engaging first season of a faith-based story. Much to recommend the first season. Its presentation and the cast's strong performance have much to offer. Highly recommend this series Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/12/25 Full Review Sariah M It's good but it's bad, there's nothing multi cultural about the show, I don't understand the reasoning for Tim being killed off(stupid) and at times it seems low budget and cheesy. If it's going to continue, mix it up a bit, and end with proper scenarios, no one watching should have to be trying to figure out what the hell just happened, why it happened or what's next, please do leave that for cliff hanger shows or some dern thriller where ... student,.stalks teacher, then kills teacher and flees but then again there's a reason lol. Like c'mon.... make this make sense. I would've written, the time line so pensive and precise that watchers would be hanging on to every second word and episode, it would be binged watched. Enough said, do better. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/04/24 Full Review Abby M So bad its God-awful. The acting is horrible, with the exception of the person who plays Ashley. Whoever she is, she's swimming uphill alone. The writing is cheesy and vomit worthy, there are characters that disappear and plots that never get resolved. Black people seem to be bad guys and entirely expendable. The mother character is holier than thou, I've never disliked a fictional character so much. The family don't seem to have any respect for each other, everyone is a terrible communicator, and the bible thumping is jammed down your throat so hard it'd give foie gras a run for it's money. Run! Save Yourself Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/02/24 Full Review Nexsen J My wife and I have watched all three seasons and HOPE there will be more! I hope this series will inspire other film makers to produce more programs without all the violence so common today. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/26/24 Full Review Emma S Love this series - covers so many different topics. Keeps moving doesn’t get boring. Great show! Highly recommend. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/05/24 Full Review Z M My wife and I absolutely love this show! Thank you Amazon for producing a show like this! A classic family drama with a lot of twists and turns that includes faith and how to overcome challenges in life. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/01/24 Full Review Read all reviews
