Alan Edwards
Alan Edwards was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Edwards began his acting career appearing in various films, such as the drama "Stage Mother" (1933) with Alice Brady, "The White Sister" (1933) and the western "Frontier Marshal" (1934) with George O'Brien. He also appeared in the Herbert Marshall comedy "If You Could Only Cook" (1935) and "Ring Around the Moon" (1936). He continued to act in productions like "Forty Naughty Girls" (1937) with James Gleason, the mystery "Mr. District Attorney" (1941) with Dennis O'Keefe and the Mary Beth Hughes musical "Men on Her Mind" (1944). He also appeared in "Junior Miss" (1945) with Peggy Ann Garner and the George Raft drama "Mr. Ace" (1946). Nearing the end of his career, he tackled roles in "The Lone Wolf in Mexico" (1947), the action picture "43, the Petty Story" (1972) with Darren McGavin and the drama "Small Time" (1991) with Richard Barboza. Edwards was most recently credited in "Elmo's Christmas Countdown" (ABC, 2007-08). Edwards passed away in May 1954 at the age of 62.
