Alan Simpson
A relative newcomer to show business, Colorado native Alan Simpson caught the attention of many fans when he landed the role of Henry Bellows, a scholarship student intrigued by a wealthy classmate at an exclusive Southern California prep school, in the Fox 2001 primetime serial "Pasadena." The tall, lanky, dark-haired actor with the athletic build and bedroom eyes had decided at age 15 that he wanted to pursue an acting career and headed to Hollywood. He landed a role in the pilot of the cult hit "Freaks and Geeks" (NBC, 1999-2000) which was eventually expanded into a recurring role. Although still enrolled in high school in Colorado, Simpson commuted between his hometown and L.A. He next was cast in a leading role in Gregg Araki's MTV pilot "This Is How the World Ends" but the series wasn't picked up. Instead, Simpson landed his first regular gig on "Pasadena," as the poor boy/outsider who teams with Alison Lohman's inquisitive Lily in investigating her family's mysterious background.
