Alec Craig
Alec Craig was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Craig's earliest roles were in film, including the Burgess Meredith dramatic adaptation "Winterset" (1936), "Mary of Scotland" (1936) with Katharine Hepburn and "Wise Girl" (1937). He also appeared in "Meet the Missus" (1937), "The Woman I Love" (1937) and "Vivacious Lady" (1938). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the crime flick "Stranger on the Third Floor" (1940) with Peter Lorre, the comedy "Three Cheers For the Irish" (1940) with Thomas Mitchell and "Phantom Raiders" (1940). He also appeared in "A Date With the Falcon" (1941). In the latter half of his career, he continued to act in the action film "Northern Pursuit" (1943) with Errol Flynn, the Roddy McDowall drama "Lassie Come Home" (1943) and the drama "Forever and a Day" (1943) with Anthony Collins. He also appeared in "Dangerous Passage" (1944) and the Basil Rathbone mystery "The Spider Woman" (1944). Craig was most recently credited in "Three Strangers" (1946) with Sydney Greenstreet. Craig passed away in June 1945 at the age of 61.
