      Deborah Allen was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Allen's acting career began mostly with her roles in various films, such as the musical "The Thing Called Love" (1993) with River Phoenix and the romance "Cadillac Girls" (1994) with Gregory Harrison. She had a part on the television special "The Women of Country" (CBS, 1992-93). Allen also contributed music to the crime drama "The River Rat" (1984) with Tommy Lee Jones and "Clinton and Nadine" (HBO, 1987-88). She continued to work steadily in film throughout the nineties and the early 2000s, appearing in the comedy "The Real Howard Spitz" (1998) with Kelsey Grammer. She also starred in the TV movies "Bailey's Mistake" (ABC, 2000-01) and "Heart of a Stranger" (Lifetime, 2002-03). She also was featured in the TV movie "Big Driver" (Lifetime, 2014). Allen most recently appeared in "The Lizzie Borden Chronicles" (2014-15).
