Edmund Willard
Edmund Willard was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In 1952, he appeared in Matthew Gregory "Monk" Lewis' play, "The Castle Spectre," at the Players' Theatre in London. In 1921, he appeared in several plays at the Stratford Birthday Festival at the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre in Stratford-Upon-Avon, England, including "Macbeth," "The Merry Wives of Windsor," and "King Richard III." In 1928, he made his screen debut in "A Window in Piccadilly." Willard began his career with a role in the drama "Moscow Nights" (1935) with Walter Hudd. Willard began to focus on film after appearing in the spy thriller "Dark Journey" (1937) with Conrad Veidt. Later in his career, Willard acted in the Margaret Lockwood dramatic adaptation "The Stars Look Down" (1939). Willard passed away in October 1956 at the age of 72.
