Edward Martindel was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Martindel began his acting career with roles in such films as "The Foundling" (1916), "The Furnace" (1920) and "Hail the Woman" (1921). He also appeared in "Nice People" (1922), the Thomas Meighan crime feature "Manslaughter" (1922) and "The Sporting Venus" (1925). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the twenties, appearing in the Tom Mix western "Tony Runs Wild" (1926), "Children of Divorce" (1927) and "Fashions For Women" (1927). He also appeared in "The Companionate Marriage" (1928). Nearing the end of his career, he tackled roles in the comedy "Check and Double Check" (1930) with Freeman F Gosden, the Joe Cook dramatic adaptation "Rain or Shine" (1930) and "Golden Dawn" (1930). He also appeared in "Song O' My Heart" (1930) and "The Gay Diplomat" (1931). Martindel last acted in "The Girl Who Came Back" (1935). Martindel passed away in May 1955 at the age of 79.
