Harlan Briggs
Harlan Briggs was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Briggs's earliest roles were in film, including the Walter Huston dramatic adaptation "Dodsworth" (1936), "A Family Affair" (1937) and the comedy "Easy Living" (1937) with Jean Arthur. He also appeared in the Robert Montgomery comedy "Live, Love and Learn" (1937), the Joe E Brown comedy "Riding on Air" (1937) and the Anne Shirley drama "A Man to Remember" (1938). His film career continued throughout the thirties in productions like the comedy "You and Me" (1938) with Sylvia Sidney, the crime feature "The Missing Guest" (1938) with Paul Kelly and "Blondie Takes a Vacation" (1939) with Penny Singleton. He also appeared in "Calling Dr. Kildare" (1939). Toward the end of his career, he continued to act in "One Foot in Heaven" (1941) with Fredric March, the Humphrey Bogart crime picture "Conflict" (1945) and the adaptation "State Fair" (1945) with Jeanne Crain. He also appeared in "The Mysterious Intruder" (1946) with Barton MacLane and "Do You Love Me?" (1946). Briggs more recently acted in the Allan Lane western "Vigilantes of Boomtown" (1947). Briggs passed away in January 1952 at the age of 73.
