Heio von Stetten

Raised on a farm in Germany, actor Heio von Stetten gravitated toward the theater after high school, studying at the Otto-Falckenberg-Schule in Munich before finding work in television movies and commercials. He first garnered attention in 1995 when he was cast in key supporting roles in two features: the biopic "Alfred," based on the life of Alfred Nobel, founder of the Nobel Prize, and the award-winning comedy "Der schönste Tag im Leben." In 1996, the actor found success on television in the drama "Uno di Noi" and the series "Solange es die Liebe gibt," and in 1997, scored a triumph with the hugely popular feature "Bandits." The following years would find von Stetten acting in television movies such as "Das Mädchen aus der Torte" and "Einspruch für die Liebe," and also cinematic features like the 1999 romantic comedy "On the Wings of Love"--with the legendary Maximilian Schell--and the 2001 Austrian film "Arabesken um Frosch." During the 21st century, the actor has been more in demand than ever, racking up dozens of credits on series such as "SOKO 5113" and "A Case for Two" and on the big screen in 2005's "Fed Up!." In 2007, he began a four-season run on the series "Deadline - Jede Sekunde zählt" and in 2010 starred as Abt Georg in the popular "Lasko - Die Faust Gottes." Since 2005, von Stetten has volunteered as a mentor for underprivileged kids through the LILALU organization.
