Jean Vilar was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In 1935, he made his stage debut in Paris. In 1947, he made his screen debut in "Les Portes De La Nuit" ("The Gates Of The Night"), which starred Yves Montand. In 1956, he starred in Gérard Philipe's "Les Aventures De Till L'Espiègle" ("Bold Adventure"). Vilar worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "To Die In Madrid" (1965). Vilar made film his next project, appearing in "Le Petit Matin" (1971). Later in his career, Vilar acted in the Maurice Ronet romance "Raphael, ou le Debauche" (1971). Vilar passed away in May 1971 at the age of 59.
