Joe Kapp
Joe Kapp was an accomplished actor who led an impressive career, primarily on the big screen. Kapp began his acting career in film, appearing in such titles as the Tim Conway comedy "The World's Greatest Athlete" (1973) and the Burt Reynolds comedic sports movie "The Longest Yard" (1974). He also starred in the TV movies "Climb an Angry Mountain" (NBC, 1972-73) and "Nakia" (ABC, 1973-74). He kept working in film throughout the seventies, starring in the Charles Bronson western "Breakheart Pass" (1975) and the action movie "Two-Minute Warning" (1976) with Charlton Heston. His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Smash-Up on Interstate 5" (ABC, 1976-77). He also landed a role in the miniseries "Captains and the Kings" (1976-77). Toward the end of his career, he continued to act in the Burt Reynolds action film "Semi-Tough" (1977), the crime drama "The Choirboys" (1977) with Charles Durning and the Gene Wilder action picture "The Frisco Kid" (1979). Kapp more recently appeared in "Off Sides" (NBC, 1983-84).
