John Arthur
John Arthur was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In the early stages of his acting career, Arthur landed roles in action flicks like the Burt Reynolds film "Sharky's Machine" (1981). He appeared in a number of television specials, including "Masonic Mysteries" (PBS, 1991-92) and "Oliver's Travels" (PBS, 1996-97). His film career continued throughout the early 2000s in productions like the dramatic adventure "The Abduction Club" (2002) with Matthew Rhys and the Bruce Cook comedic drama "Thunderpants" (2002). In his more recent career, he tackled roles on "Skins" (2007-2010), "The Borgias" (Showtime, 2010-13) and "Mr. Selfridge" (PBS, 2012-). Most recently, Arthur worked on "Beasts of No Nation" (2015) with Idris Elba.
