John Friesen
John Friesen was an actor who was no stranger to being featured in numerous film roles throughout his Hollywood career. Friesen began his acting career with roles in such films as "Why Shoot the Teacher" (1976), "Age of Innocence" (1977) and the action picture "High-ballin'" (1978) with Peter Fonda. He also appeared in the historical drama "Charlie Grant's War" (1984) with R.H. Thomson, the Mary Steenburgen drama "One Magic Christmas" (1985) and "Taking Care" (1987) with Kate Lynch. He also appeared in the TV special "Where the Spirit Lives" (PBS, 1989-1990). He also landed roles in the miniseries "To Catch a Killer" (1991-92) and "Conspiracy of Silence" (1991-92). As his entertainment career progressed, he appeared in "Naked Lunch" (1991). Friesen's music was most recently used in the suspenseful adaptation "Fifty Dead Men Walking" (2009) with Ben Kingsley. He also was featured in the TV movie "Gang in Blue" (Showtime, 1996-97). He held additional roles in television including a part on "Mutant X" (2001-05). He also appeared in the Jeff Daniels dramatic adventure "Fly Away Home" (1996).
