John Horsley
Actor John Horsley appeared in a variety of films over the course of his Hollywood career. Horsley began his acting career appearing in various films, such as "Terror on a Train" (1953), the Alec Guinness comedy "Father Brown" (1954) and the Stanley Baker crime picture "Hell Drivers" (1958). He also appeared in the adaptation "Dunkirk" (1958) with John Mills and the dramatic adaptation "Ben-Hur" (1959) with Charlton Heston. He continued to work steadily in film throughout the sixties and the eighties, appearing in the dramatic adaptation "Sink the Bismarck!" (1960) with Kenneth More, "Operation Amsterdam" (1960) and "Secrets" (1982). He also appeared in "The Doctor and the Devils" (1985) with Timothy Dalton. He also was featured in the TV movie "The Woman He Loved" (CBS, 1987-88). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Sorrell and Son" (PBS, 1987-88). Horsley more recently appeared in "Rumpole and the Family Pride" (PBS, 1994-95).
