Birthday: Jul 27, 1993

Birthplace: Dallas, Texas, USA

Few golfers enter the scene as coolly and confidently as Jordan Speith did. He was the rare teenage golfer to receive an amateur exemption to compete in PGA Tour events, and while he didn't win the events he competed in under the age of 18, it set him up well for the future. After dominating in high school and college, Spieth turned pro at age 19. His first year of professional golf wasn't easy, as he hovered around in the top 10 of the first few events of his career. In July 2013, he won his first event - the John Deere Classic - and became the first teenager to win a PGA Tour event since 1931. After that win, Spieth became a full PGA Tour member and finished out the season without another victory. 2014 was the first year he played in The Masters, and despite leading for a part of the tournament, wound up in a tie for second place instead. His stellar showing led him to be selected for the Ryder Cup that year, where he became the youngest American to compete in the tournament since 1929. He kicked off the 2015 season winning the Valspar Championship before returning to The Masters and winning the prestigious event. The rest of Spieth's 2015 was stellar, as he totaled five victories in all, including winning the U.S. Open and earning the PGA Player of the Year award. His play at the 2016 Masters wasn't as sunny as his prior outings, though, as he ended the tournament with multiple bogeys, suffering one of the biggest collapses in golfing history.
