June Martel was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Martel's career beginnings included film roles in the dramedy "Front Page Woman" (1935) with Bette Davis and "Going Highbrow" (1935). Martel began to focus on film after appearing in the Joe Cook western "Arizona Mahoney" (1936), "Sitting on the Moon" (1936) and "Her Husband Lies" (1937). She also appeared in the western "Wild Horse Rodeo" (1937) with Robert Livingston. Later in her career, Martel acted in the western "Santa Fe Stampede" (1938) with John Wayne. Martel passed away in November 1978 at the age of 69.
