Karl Scheydt
Karl Scheydt was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Scheydt started his acting career landing roles in such films as "Die Niklashauser Fahrt" (1970), "Wildwechsel" (1972) and the Karlheinz Böhm drama "Fox and His Friends" (1976). He also appeared in the thrilling mystery "Messer im Kopf" (1978) with Bruno Ganz. He continued to act in productions like the Brad Davis drama "Querelle" (1982), the romance "Ali: Fear Eats the Soul" (1989) with Brigitte Mira and "Beware of a Holy Whore" (1989). He also appeared in the historical drama "Fontane Effi Briest" (1989) with Hanna Schygulla. Toward the end of his career, he continued to act in the drama "In a Year of 13 Moons" (1989) with Volker Spengler, "The American Soldier" (1989) and "The Merchant of Four Seasons" (1989) with Hans Hirschmuller. Scheydt more recently appeared on the Hannelore Hoger documentary "Deutschland im Herbst" (1993).
