Lili Simmons
Model turned actress Lili Simmons moved assuredly from teen-oriented projects like "Geek Charming" (Disney Channel, 2011) to more emboldened and mature roles, often as women with complicated pasts, on "Banshee" (Cinemax, 2013-16), "True Detective" (HBO, 2014- ) and "Ray Donovan" (Showtime, 2013- ). Born Lili Marie Simmons in the San Diego County, California town of Cardiff-by-the-Sea on July 23, 1993, she began her career as a model, working initially with Ford Models and later appearing in print ads and television commercials for Saturn, J.C. Penney and other companies. Simmons moved into acting with the 2010 television series "Hollywood is Like High School with Money" (Alloy Entertainment, 2010), and soon found steady work in kid-friendly productions for the Disney Channel like "Zeke and Luther" (2010-12) and the made-for-TV feature "Geek Charming." She landed her first feature film appearance in the independent comedy-drama "Fat Kid Rules the World" (2012), directed by actor Matthew Lillard, and then moved decisively into more mature fare as an Amish teenager leading an illicit double life on the Cinemax series "Banshee." She followed this with recurring roles on "Hawaii Five-0" (CBS, 2010- ) as a woman fleeing her abusive ex-husband who becomes involved with Scott Caan's Danny Williams and as an updated version of the seductive robot Clementine on "Westworld" (HBO, 2016- ). She also appeared as a former prostitute on the first season of "True Detective," and a supporting turn as a doctor's assistant kidnapped by primitive cannibals in the Western thriller "Bone Tomahawk" (2015). In 2017, she was cast as an actress who top-billed a major film franchise in the fifth season of "Ray Donovan."
