Maria Aitken
Maria Aitken's acting talents were showcased on the big screen many times throughout the course of her Hollywood career. She had a part on the television special "Quiet As a Nun" (PBS, 1982-83). She was nominated for a BAFTA Award for "A Fish Called Wanda" in 1988. In addition to producing, Aitken also appeared on-screen in "Melba" (PBS, 1988-89). Aitken focused on film in more recent years, appearing in the Derek Jacobi drama "The Fool" (1991), "Fierce Creatures" (1997) with John Cleese and "Grotesque" (1997) with Alan Bates. She also appeared in the dramatic biopic "Jinnah" (1998) with Christopher Lee. Aitken most recently worked on the Ralph Fiennes thrilling adaptation "Spider" (2002).
