Maurice Biraud
Maurice Biraud was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Biraud began his acting career appearing in various films, such as "The Counterfeiters of Paris" (1961), "The Seventh Juror" (1962) and the Jean Gabin crime picture "Any Number Can Win" (1963). He also appeared in "La Metamorphose des cloportes" (1965) with Lino Ventura and "Le Cri du Cormoran le Soir Au-Dessus des Jonques" (1971) with Michel Serrault. He kept working in film throughout the seventies, starring in "Elle cause plus... elle flingue" (1972) with Annie Girardot, the Philippe Noiret fantasy "Le Trefle a Cinq Feuilles" (1972) and "Le Complot" (1973). He also appeared in the romance "Le Train" (1973) with Jean-Louis Trintignant and the comedy "La Rivale" (1974) with Bibi Andersson. During the latter part of his career, he tackled roles in the adventure "Le Gitan" (1975) with Alain Delon, "Gloria" (1977) and the Michael Lonsdale drama "Bartleby" (1978). He also appeared in "C'est dingue mais on y va" (1979). Biraud more recently acted in "Un Dimanche de Flics" (1982).
