Mort Marshall was an actor who made a successful career for himself in film. Marshall began his acting career in film, appearing in such titles as the dramatic sports film "Go, Man, Go!" (1954) with Dane Clark, the dramatic adaptation "The Silver Chalice" (1954) with Virginia Mayo and "Kiss Me Deadly" (1955). He also appeared in the Jack Webb crime feature "Pete Kelly's Blues" (1955). He also appeared in the TV movie "Alice in Wonderland" (NBC, 1955-56). His film career continued throughout the sixties and the seventies in productions like the Albert Dekker sci-fi feature "Gamera" (1967), "Lovers and Other Strangers" (1970) and the adventure "Skullduggery" (1970) with Burt Reynolds. He also appeared in the TV special "Pinocchio" (NBC, 1968-69). During the latter half of his career, he continued to act in the crime drama "The Grissom Gang" (1971) with Kim Darby, the Burt Reynolds sports comedy "The Longest Yard" (1974) and the Burt Reynolds drama "W. W. and the Dixie Dancekings" (1974). He held additional roles in television including a part on "The Dumplings" (NBC, 1975-76). Marshall more recently acted in the comedy "Starting Over" (1979) with Burt Reynolds.
