Nino Martini made his mark in the world of entertainment when he worked on "The Gay Desperado" (1936). In 1925, he made his operatic debut in an Italian production of Verdi's "Rigoletto." In 1930, he made his first film appearance in "Paramount on Parade" during one of the film's Technicolor sequences. In 1945, he played Rodolfo in "La Boheme" for the inaugural performance of the San Antonio Grand Opera Festival.
