Hailing from Rhode Island, Robin Green is an American TV writer and producer best known for her work on the lauded HBO drama series "The Sopranos." Green began penning television scripts during the late 1980s, writing episodes of the dramas "A Year in the Life" and "Almost Grown." In '91, she began contributing to the quirky small-town series "Northern Exposure" as both a writer and producer, and later worked on the quickly cancelled '96 series "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" in both capacities. During '99, Green joined the creative team of the mob drama "The Sopranos" as a writer and an executive producer, and penned more than 20 episodes of the popular series, often with her husband, Mitchell Burgess. Green and Burgess went on to co-create the 2010 cop show "Blue Bloods" and together they wrote the pilot of the series. As both an executive consultant and a writer, Green has also contributed to another procedural show, "Southland."
