Sam Melville found incredible success as an accomplished actor, appearing in a variety of films throughout his Hollywood career. To break into the world of acting, Melville held roles in films like "Hour of the Gun" (1967) with James Garner and Robert Ryan. He also starred in the TV movies "Terror in the Sky" (CBS, 1971-72) and "The Rookies" (ABC, 1971-72). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the Jan-Michael Vincent drama "Big Wednesday" (1978). He also landed a role in the miniseries "Roughnecks" (1979-1980). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Fools, Females and Fun: Is There a Doctor in the House?" (NBC, 1973-74). Toward the end of his career, he tackled roles in the action picture "Deadly Weapon" (1988) with Rodney Eastman, the Tom Breznahan comedy "Twice Dead" (1988) and "Fists of Steel" (1989) with Carlos Palomino. Additionally, he appeared on the television special "Chain Letter" (ABC, 1988-89). Melville more recently acted in the Steve Railsback action flick "The Assassin" (1990).
