Andrew L. Urban Urban Cinefile All the ingredients of a classic horror movie are here, but given a shake-up with a cleverly diabolical twist Mar 27, 2009 Full Review Scott Weinberg Cinematical A tight-fisted and hard-hearted little "under the radar" horror flick that I quite enjoyed. Rated: 4/5 Apr 20, 2007 Full Review Dread Central End of the Line has the potential to become a classic for horror fans. I's a thinking mans blood feast. And it is one that I can't wait to dine on again. Rated: 4/5 Mar 28, 2007 Full Review Read all reviews

IrateTyrant C Jump scares galore - more than ever before - what a roar Legit, this movie had more jump scares than any other film I've seen, and I've seen a lot. Without trying to ruin anything, within the first half hour of the film I jumped maybe three or four times. The first time was so bad I was looking around the room of my home to check if people had broken in and were trying to kill me. I'm a grown man and I'm pretty big, so this was abnormal behavior for me. Not to mention it was in the middle of the day when I watched this. I was casually slurping on soup from a can and suddenly jerked into full wacko. The next thing I noticed before the following jump was the poor acting, and I made it my mission at that point to assess the acting as the movie continued. However, although the acting was only marginally bearable, the jump scares continued rampantly. I'd compare it with that short online video of the dark room where you're supposed to look closely at different parts of the picture until a boogeyman scares you (they have reaction posts of this video where people completely lose their cool.) This movie does this with an extreme amount of direction. The plot is thriftily skimpy but does a good enough job of patching together these kinds of jump scares. I've never seen a movie make me jump as much as this. Still, because of the below par acting and storyline, this is a good and not great film. I love horror, though. Sometimes you can unearth a gem like this, and it can make your day (or night.) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/18/23 Full Review Shay C Quick disclosure, I don't typically like horror movies anyway. This is definitely a film of its time. Low-budget, lots of blood, doesn't like Christianity. If you're going to watch it, do so on a platform that allows you to skip around, so you can just get right to the good parts. Assim espero. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Andy B It's a B-movie to be sure, but a solid and very gruesome one with a good ending. There's a lot to be said for practical effects. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/24 Full Review Audience Member I have no idea what's happening with that fucking opening, but I love it. Love the drawings, the sudden images, the weird cast of characters. The bloody muffins! Fast, imaginative low budget horror, great touches - love the constant intercom joke, every time the mobile goes! - and this is the same guy that did the incredibly shit 'Slashers'? It handles the cliches really well and keeps on building as we winnow out our characters. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member It's not the worst movie... you could do much worse. But it unfortunately drags on at times and that kills the pacing. Plus it uses far too many loud jump scares, especially in the beginning. It's a good premise (a cult leader has signified that it's the end times for his followers and hence they're instructed to kill mankind), but due to the failed execution it quickly loses it's lustre and doesn't know how to maintain the tension and suspense it established in Act 1. It still gets 2* because it's not that bad and because it could scare horror noobs. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews
