Demented N Angel now a collage graduate 🎓. Finds out the good cop who helped her in the first movie gets killed by the mob,the police won't do anything to help her so she gose back on the streets as a hooker to do her own decitive work with some familiar, faces helping her in fleshed out roles. They didn't wana give the orignal angle more money so she was recast. Instead foolish New world pictures spent there money on chopping mall and mountain top motel massacre. I personally would of taken the chance of a franchise by getting the same actress back.? Its a more visually impressive movie with a great soundtrack. For me the letdown is the actress not coming back Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Since I'm unable to review the first film ANGEL (1984) because FLIXSTER is completely inept at updating their app and search criteria, I'll just leave this here: they are ALL terrible. And I get it. The film is making fun of itself and the genre. But the watchability factor dissipates with each passing minute. Really awful. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/09/20 Full Review Audience Member Well okay... It's not soo much hope jarring the change of actress is that makes this a bizarre follow up. It's more the choice to make it half comedy. But a goofy, cartoonish one, complete with silly sidekicks... Seriously, when they got the old man cowboy bronco-riding a gouney to outrun nurse Olga, so that they can use his expertise to find a glitter-obsessed pixie street-person to help take down the mob... well, you know you done messed up. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/20 Full Review Audience Member Angel failed to impress me, but being a fan of Betsy Russell I was still happy to see Avenging Angel. Now that Molly Stewart's life is at peace at the beginning of the movie, it doesn't immediately begin as a sad and solidary tale, but instead gives a sense that there are other characters in her life and that she is a more important person now that But the editing decides to fill most of the first 30 minutes with Vaudeville style slapstick music or excessively long repetitive beats which fills up all the sound and degrades the story to a childish level without ever trying to make it good. The soundtrack utterly sucks and doesn't have the kinetic 1980's energy from its predecessor. This proves to be the dowfall of Avenging Angel And for a film about the character Angel she really doesn't make much of a screen presence and she essentially plays second-fiddle to most of the strange characters on the streets and such which sufficiently lacks entertainment and originality, just like the script and much of the actors. And barely taking advantage of Betsy Russell, the film only dresses her in skintight clothing which show off her breasts to the audience beneath her shirt. Avenging Angel didn't have a great predecessor, but it even fails to live up to that or give Betsy Russell a chance. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Molly (Angel) is in law school now but returns to the street to find the killer of the cop who helped straighten out her life. Betsy Russell always a tremendous value add but this one should have played it straight instead of trying to add comedy. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member loved the story.. it just became too comic.. but i love the plot Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
