A sharp rebuke to the type of cinephile who judges the temple of his experience too cramped and delicate to ever "stoop" to Ray Harryhausen or Italian zombie flicks Go to Full Review

Bill G 11/10/2024 Surprisingly creepy. Like Carnival of Souls in that the horror was effective but with worse acting and production. A pleasantly surprising blend of H.P. Lovecraft and WKRP with fun special effects See more Dave S 07/01/2024 This might sound like a pretty bold claim, but here it goes: Equinox could, quite possibly, be the most irritating movie ever made. When a pair of couples, none of whom possess an iota of common sense, venture into a remote park, they are set upon by none other than the devil himself (and his weird minions) after being saddled with an ancient text. The dialogue is absurd (‘I wouldn’t know a catatonic coma if it bit me!!’), the acting is consistently wooden, the special effects border on brutal, the production values are non-existent, and not a single situation is dealt with rationally (what to do after finding human remains in a cave? It’s time for a KFC picnic!!). Equinox has the distinct look of a movie made by people who have never seen a movie. See more Donald B 06/08/2020 A cheap looking, low budget "horror" movie from 1970. Impossible to take seriously when the characters are constantly making the worst possible decisions. It goes without saying that the acting and effects are awful. This is one of the ultimate cult films & main sources of inspiration for Sam Raimi's The Evil Dead. See more Read all reviews
