Moving from the countryside to Paris, Julie (Guilaine Londez) and Jack (Thomas Langmann) rent a bare bones flat. He drives a taxi at night while she wanders the city, taking in the sights. They spend their days making love. Jack introduces Julie to the brooding Joseph (Francois Negret), who drives the same cab during the day. Julie and Joseph begin a nighttime love affair, unbeknownst to Jack. Julie enjoys both men, who have opposing personalities, but a moment of truth is soon at hand.

11/02/2009 NIGHT AND DAY would have worked much better as a short film. It's simple idea just doesn't hold up very well for an hour and a half. That may be the film's only fault, but it does drag the film way down. Julie and Jack are a couple; they are completely into each other. He works the night shift as a cab driver. During the night, Julie walks the streets of Paris. That is, until one night when cab driver Joseph drops the cab by for Jack to drive. Julie then begins seeing him at night while Jack's at work. See more 08/31/2008 Not every French movie is that impressive. Being so self-obsessed, this flick was poetic but completely disconnected between scenes & lines (lost in translation, possibly).
