Life doesn't seem as if it could get any worse, but it does: Amanda kills a man while on drugs and becomes one of the youngest people to receive the death sentence. The only thing standing between the troubled teenager and lethal injection is public defender Buddy Thornton (Michael Tucker).

Scott Clark Starburst Taking aim at every level of Italian culture, Martino and Gastaldi put together a surprisingly enjoyable caper. Sure the hard-hitting exploitation of a title and subject like that are dismissed early, but as a film its watchable and nicely put together. Rated: 6/10 Nov 10, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews

Nikita R Juliette Lewis is a completely underrated actress. She was a teen during this movie and in my opinon, she hit it out of the park. Her and Brad's chemistry was great. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/02/24 Full Review Audience Member The film since the beginning, has been showing the fate of the protagonist, the plot is being well constructed, with some great dialogues, besides that the past can sometimes interfere in our future ... This is an exciting, raw and totally to reflect. 7/10 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Etwas hölzern und unprofessionell! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member It is a very sad story. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member another 'fact based" TV movie Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member A very slow but interesting and compelling made-for-TV movie, in where we get to see Juliette Lewis and Brad Pitt shine in their early roles. Lewis plays a girl abandoned out on the streets and manipulated by every man she meets down onto a dark path that can only lead to tragedy. The storyline, based on fact, was well-executed here. On a low budget, the film looks good, with visuals and music to enhance the sleaze and harshness of the situation. In spite of the effective drama, I wasn't really spurred to oppose the death penalty. Lewis' acting can verge into over-the-top at times, but she can still pull it off. Also, the last 10 minutes were snoozeworthy since the film was already over. Moderately engaging viewing, though nothing really exciting here.
