Steve D The religious might care. I didn't Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/24 Full Review David D The Bible is great with David and is Goliath you should read it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/25/23 Full Review Audience Member i have to say i liked this one, its worth a watch and i would even dare say, put it on blu ray. it needs a face lift, however like most movies, its story isnt like the bibles, they mixed it up a bit and put in a plot to kill the king, something that wasnt in the story of David and Saul. would of been better to go with the bible and how its written. i did however like Orsen Wells as Saul. he had the perfect look for saul, david on the other hand, meh, they should of gotten someone else. its a decent movie, if you can get over how they told the story. also, the girfriend at the beginning of the movie, wasnt in the biblical story, that why i wouldnt give it a four star. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member David and Goliath (1961) ?? Ham handed film version of David and Goliath story suffers from wooden acting and bad writing. Terrible but funny. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member This was interesting, and I watched it only because I both love swords-and-sandals epics and am a huge Orson Welles fan. This gets huge bonus points because only Welles would insist on making sure he got to direct every scene that he acted in. That's awesome--and craftsmanship and artistry such as his should never be denied, simply for the sake of cinema. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member A stinker of Biblical proportions, with a drunken Welles bellowing away for a scenes and an awesome battle with a giant. Oh, and the backstory about David's girlfriend getting struck by lightning-- I'm pretty sure that's not in the Bible. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
