Vale apena assistir? Para os amantes. Nota: 6 Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/18/24 Full Review sarfaraz a The Victim (Shen bu you ji) directed and co-starring Sammo Hung with Bryan Leung Kar Yan. Yuen Biao is uncredited as body-double during acrobatic scenes etc. Chun (Bryan Leung) was adopted as little orphan boy under heavy rain by a humble rich man who already had a mean young son. Chun has developed into fine kung fu fighter who is on the run with his newly wedded wife from his stepbrother who is crazily after the girl they both liked - a young man named Fatty (Sammo Hung) is out on challenging everybody and if defeated he would become the student of his - one fine day Fatty spots Chun helping an old man to from being crushed by a loaded cart, Fatty challenges him but is defeated however Chun is not interested in his matter since he is worried about circumstances surrounding him - Fatty follows them everywhere and vows to be on-guard for his would-be master from goons of his step-brother. This is the only film that saddened me with some of its emtional scenes in the mid of the film - excellent terror placed by the villanous character and perfect job of carving out a character of Chun who finds himself in a burning furnace; when he promised his dying master to be guide and protector of his only son (who is himself determined to kill Chun). Fight scenes are exceptionally well-done, especially that long climax fight, that according to Bryan Leung had made him feel exhausted and for which he did not seek body-double efforts of Yuen Biao for acrobatic scenes. If you are craving for story+action fights, this is it my friend! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member A must see for kung fu fans. A genre classic. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member The Victim has some intriguing plot twists and a few somewhat humorous moments but overall the story is poorly written and the humor is typically cheesy and just lame. The comedy isn't as bad as the many similar films (such as Sammo Hung's other kung fu comedies) so it does deserve points for at least being tolerable and even laugh-out-loud funny for a moment or two. Luckily, the stunning choreography is among the best of the genre. It is absolutely amazing and well worth the films' other shortcomings. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member A Hung Kam-Bo choreographed fight is a beautiful thing. This early example, in which he directs and co-stars as well, is definitely a cut above the average martial arts film of the era; a bit more attention to story and character than usual plus, again, those astonishing martial dances. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member A fun old school Kung fu flick from sammo hung. Awesome action and a storyline with many twists to keep you interested Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Read all reviews
