Audience Member Cliche plot, bad acting but probably good for insomniacs. None of the characters were more than two dimensional and much of the movie consisted of soulful looks at others or into the distance... cliche+ Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Low budget as it was, Assassin was never going to be the best movie ever made. A poor man's 'Bourne Identity'? Maybe not, but certainly a gritty, London underworld version of it. The plot was interesting, and while it had to be taken with perhaps a grain or two of salt, it was engaging and exciting all the way through. 'Assassin' is a far better spend of your time than the a.n.other Hollywood super-hero movie any day. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie had the potential to be something special. The established bad boy cockney and the krays in leading roles could of produced a tasty london gangland picture. Although it's cliche and been done before there's always room for more!! This film was poor. Too rushed and there was no time to fall in love with any of the characters, Danny was dull and acted as though he was on tranquillers!! No excitement, not much action and I really wanted to cry with Danny at the end but alas this film didn't evoke any emotions or feelings except dissapointment. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Poor, poor filmmaking. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member I have to admit I like Danny Dyer. When he gets a challenge the boy can do good. The Kemp brothers have their moments too. So I sat down to watch this as a fan of the genre and the top leading cast. I am not professional critic and do not ever think I would want to be. I have a serious love of film and appreciation for he effort it takes to get a film like this together. So I allow for the little things. But script - especially with a writer/director - is where the potential is. Banal and totally no effort put in. They had a story. But give it something to twist. I watched to the end as I wanted to see if there was a redemption. Either for the characters or the production team. Zero on all counts. I really don't like knocking a film like this but its got no beats, no character depth, the Kemps gave it a go (at least) - maybe Dyer was told to play it like a bad Clive Owen on valium - and can someone find female leads in London with a difference - to quote Squeeze 'its funny how their missus always looks the bleeding same' A real shame - some script prep - a little casting thought and a character plot could have made this interesting. I remember seeing London to Brighton a few years ago - anyone attempting a similar story. Spend a pre production meeting watching that. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Probably the worst acting I have ever seen, Dyer was particularly bad, so wooden at times it was unbearable. After 30 minutes I had to stop watching. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Jason Best Movie Talk Danny Dyer's hard man whizzes to and from his assignments on a high-powered motorbike, but this crashingly dull low-budget British crime thriller couldn't be more pedestrian. Rated: 1/5 Nov 22, 2015 Full Review Read all reviews
