Ard Vijn ScreenAnarchy Wildly uneven as a movie, "Assault Girls" is far from a classic but that doesn't stop it from being eminently watchable. Jan 15, 2020 Full Review Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed A masterful feast for the eyes and ears... Feb 7, 2011 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Not a bad movie, caught in on Netflix years ago. I was looking for something I've never watched before and ended up liking it more than I thought I would. Now, I'm not saying this is the greatest movie but it's worth a watch if you want something different for a change. I really don't think it had much of a storyline but isn't that a basic MMO? Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review robert p This movie doesn't look very good and apply it's kind of all over the place it takes place in a virtual game so you think with that type of free rein they be able to do a lot more but there are so many slow parts to this and then he just tries to get through the action was just comes off as more boring and over the top that it is pulls you right out of the movie this is it worth the watch. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member With lacking in story, this film made up with creativity, this film would have been a lot better off as an anime and an actual story, either wise, it wasn't much of a film! I enjoyed this film to an extent, this film seemed to have too much B-roll and seem to go on and on during unnecessary scenes. It almost seemed like Mamoru Oshii forgot that he was making a future length film and he just threw a bunch of scenes in to fill the holes. But there were great things about this film, the visual effects, for being what seemed low budget, were tremendously excellent, this film had a lot of great creativity through-out its entirety and that is what I loved most about this film. Being a movie revolving around video games, this was a great one at that, the film shared a similar Final Fantasy atmosphere and if this was turned into a YouTube short or a anime/series, this would have been hands down, amazing! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie was absolute garbage. Twenty minutes of the movie was dedicated to characters walking in the desert. Fifteen more minutes were dedicated to a snail moving and a dog standing by a statue. Then there was this orb and such and it did things that weren't exciting or entertaining in any way. This movie had very little assault as the title advertised. There were girls though and that's why I give it a half a star. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review clement k oh man I remember seeing this on netflix. God this was awful. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A sequel of sorts to Avalon, Assault Girls gets high points for its visuals from gorgeous cinematography to its cooler than cool costumes but its lack of a plot makes it hard to sit through even at 66 minutes. Rumor has it that this was just a taste of whats to come with several more Assault Girl films on the way which is fine by me but I hope the next one will have more in the way of a story rather than this ones paper thin tale of four gamers teaming up to take out a level boss.
