Audience Member Awaara 1951 is probably the finest Indian drama movie of all time; I rate it no less than Citizen Kane for its story telling plus it has a-one cinematography. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Kapoor's magnificient direction and style gives Awaara an authentic taste of Indian society and melodrama. Strong script yet poorly executed. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Extremely compelling. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member more than a half-century, still great. this is what defines a classic. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Seriously, why is Shamez making me watch these old movies? Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Very melodramatic...and boring. There are much better Bollywood films that have been created. I'm not sure why this was so popular when it was released. It's interesting that the story is based on an Indian myth, but that's about the only thing interesting in the film.
