Audience Member My kids wanted to watch this, and I rolled my eyes and said sure, expecting some female knock off of "Kicking and Screaming." Instead, I was captivated by the dark world of competitive suburban soccer. The movie tends to ramble and had some rather bizarre non-sequitors, but it serves the purpose of the movie - a descent into madness doesn't happen cleanly, with all the loose ends tied. As our narrator tries to make sense of her loss of sanity the audience is her therapist, and we do well to let her try to talk out her issues, as she tries to piece together the events leading to her break down. This perspective would work better, admittedly, if the movie didn't meander into the personal lives of others, but it works. It delivers laughs, but every laugh costs a little guilt - truly dark comedy. The production quality is sub-par, but there's charm to this little movie that shows that in a world of insanity, the sane will go mad. The narrator deserves her audience-therapist to hear her out with unconditional positive regard. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Bad Parents is a bad movie. Only someone who thinks listening to a constant sound of metal on metal is amazing, would like this movie. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Stopped watching halfway through. The movie never gains momentum during the first 45 minutes. Funny in concept but lacking in execution despite the great cast. Editing felt clunky. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member BOMB. Except for the wife of the assistant coach, who has about 3 minutes on screen, every actor over acts and never in a good bad way. Everything about this film--the writing, production value, the acting--is bad and never in a good way. Enduring this film, waiting for something to shine and for the redemption, is fruitless. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member It was a good, bad movie. Titus plays a jerk perfectly, considering hisncomedy I was not surprised he nailed the role. Everyone outside of him and Garafolo (sp?) seemed to be forcing it and sosome of the dialog was annoying. Would I watch it again? Probably not but I wouldn't stop others from seeing it. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member An insanely talented cast gets stuck in an insanely poor script that seems to restrain their genius. So sad to imagine how great this movie could have been. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews
