Critics Consensus

Baghead squanders its intriguing supernatural premise and creepy visuals on thinly drawn characters, convoluted plot mechanics, and uninspired scares.

It's a horror film that isn't scary, and that's always going to be an issue. Go to Full Review

[Baghead] gets trapped in its own overcomplicated narrative contrivances, which suggest not the inevitable grip of death, but the endless try-hard of not-quite-baked genre product. Go to Full Review

Corredor doesn’t take the time to make any of this matter to us. Apart from being encouraged to marvel at Iris’s uncanny self-composure in the face of the forces she’s managed to stir up, we don’t really get to understand what she’s about. Go to Full Review

This exposition-heavy, low-budget horror fails to make the best of the mix of new and familiar faces that make up its promising cast. Go to Full Review

Works better when we’re in the dark, mystery-wise, and left unsure as to this creature’s intent and supernatural origins. Things get bogged down when the exposition arrives... A decent enough, small-scale horror flick. Go to Full Review

If the superior Talk to Me didn’t exist I’d probably rate Baghead a little higher, however it still earns its place in the horror market with a haunting titular creation steeped in the stuff of nightmares. Go to Full Review

Caleb L Oct 5 A film that is sadly more interesting than it is good. The film winds up being too predictable and slow. See more Kai K Aug 23 Actors were dumb and were not believable at all, but the storyline and idea for it was a great one. To bad for the bad actors or i should say bad character that were written. Watch it for free. Don't expect much. See more 'Woody' D Mar 26 Its a low budget film that really isn't worth watching. I give it two stars only because I ended up watching the whole thing. The last 20 minutes, as I was watching I was also reading news stories on my phone. Don't waste your time. See more Glaucia Alessandra S Mar 25 The tension definitely builds up as the story unfolds but when I expected to reach its peak it just becomes lazy. Characters could’ve been more developed and backstory of the which would’ve been so good to dig deeper. Main character was hinted to be the one that would make a difference since she’s been hurt in life but there’s no development on her backstory and her role in the story for *that* ending ends up just being boring and disappointing. Did enjoy the movie but expected the story to be better developed. See more Read all reviews
