Mark Kermode Kermode and Mayo's Take (YouTube) It's a horror film that isn't scary, and that's always going to be an issue. Apr 30, 2024 Full Review Noah Berlatsky Chicago Reader [Baghead] gets trapped in its own overcomplicated narrative contrivances, which suggest not the inevitable grip of death, but the endless try-hard of not-quite-baked genre product. Mar 29, 2024 Full Review Sandra Hall Sydney Morning Herald Corredor doesn’t take the time to make any of this matter to us. Apart from being encouraged to marvel at Iris’s uncanny self-composure in the face of the forces she’s managed to stir up, we don’t really get to understand what she’s about. Rated: 2.5/5 Feb 29, 2024 Full Review Ian Bunting Daily Record (UK) If the superior Talk to Me didn’t exist I’d probably rate Baghead a little higher, however it still earns its place in the horror market with a haunting titular creation steeped in the stuff of nightmares. May 8, 2024 Full Review Aaron Neuwirth We Live Entertainment There’s competence on display, but Baghead ends up feeling very paint-by-numbers. Rated: 4/10 Apr 18, 2024 Full Review Keri O'Shea Warped Perspective The tremendous reach which has been enjoyed by Talk To Me is hardly the fault of the team behind Baghead, even if we accept that Talk To Me is a very good horror story in its own right. But so is Baghead. Apr 13, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

MIKE K Baghead is a good horror movie with a few misses here and there. For example, the jump scares are not that scary and some scenes of the movie were predictable. The overall story is a solid 8/10, but the ending has a great twist to it that most will probably not see coming. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/22/24 Full Review Audience Member Unfortunately, a good concept which wasn’t delivered onto the screen. Lacking any scares, it stutters through scenes. It definitely attempts to be creepy, but the below par acting and weak plot leaves the watcher bored and asking for more. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/20/24 Full Review Farah R A lot is going on here, and not at all simultaneously. Baghead has a promising start and an intriguing premise, but it quickly dwindles to incoherent and tedious. The story needed to delve deeper into the lore behind the creature and explain why the pub keepers are attached to it and the property. The ending was a pleasant surprise, so I wouldn't say it was a complete flop. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 07/19/24 Full Review Audience Member I was really hoping for something better. The ending it's so confusing that I think but even the director was sure of what was going on. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/13/24 Full Review Snörri D Awful film with awful story, wasn't scary at all. felt like some had an idea about a witch movie, headbutt the keyboard of their laptop and then put that forward as a movie idea. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/07/24 Full Review Graeme C Is this a groundbreaking masterpiece? No. But it isn't a disaster either. Well made with a surprisingly satisfying ending. A horror movie which is entertaining enough to watch to the end is a rare accomplishment. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/04/24 Full Review Read all reviews
