Audience Member This movie punched well above it's budget. Great cast and a Philip K Dick kind of story. Very cozy. Rewatchable as well. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review joe m I started to watch "Black Road" but then just about 12 minutes in turned it off. From what I could tell, rightfully or not, this was going to be one of those dystopian future movies that was done on the cheap. Sam Daly, while cute, doesn't have th acting chops or presence to be the 'lone drifter' type that these types of film need. Further, having an AI brain implant called Clyde that Daly was talking to was an immediate turn off. For me, I'm giving 2 stars, since a film that turns you off so quick, is not good on my rating scale. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member The movie had a lot of potential but it missed the mark. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Movie stunk, made no sense. Cyber nothing. This movie belongs on the Black Road to hell. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member If you are bored and do not want to think anything above a 13 years old's comprehension level, this movie will accomplish that need. On the other hand it was beautifully shot on the Oregon coast by cinematographer Patrick Neary. This movie is slow and has very little to offer despite what Gary Lundgren might allude to in the director's statement of "The Story - Black Road". The movie goes like this: Ex-military cyborg tries to hook up with ex girlfriend for sex. Ex is dating a cop(his cousin) and is pregnant. So, he hits on a woman across the room and is brushed off. He saves woman's life outside the bar. They go to her place and have sex. She(client) offers him a job to negotiate with her husband, which he takes. Tries to hook up with his ex again. Meets husband(bad guy, drugs/military contracts) and goes back to have sex with client again. Fights ex husband and client. Wins and gets a dog. End of story. Seriously, that is all there is. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member I gave it 3 stars as part of it was very interesting. The thing is most of it I just did not really understand. The end was like the beginning or something like that. Also *Spoiler* did he die at the end or not. I could not tell what happened there. Also who was lying about the gold? It was a different kind of movie alright. Maybe I'll have to watch it again to get it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
