Wendy Ide Guardian Ivlev's spirited performance is undermined by the fact that her character's actions are so far-fetched, it would be easier to believe if she sprouted wings and flew out of captivity. Rated: 2/5 Oct 29, 2015 Full Review Martin Tsai Los Angeles Times Unbelievable indeed, the film, directed by José Manuel Cravioto, nevertheless manages to captivate throughout. Jun 25, 2015 Full Review Charles Bramesco The Dissolve José Manuel Cravioto's wants so badly to work the femsploitation angle, but has no functional understanding of the crucial factors that distinguish between the good and bad apples. Rated: 1.5/5 Jun 24, 2015 Full Review John Noonan FILMINK (Australia) With grounded performances from Ivlev and Tyson, this is an excellent indie thriller that tries to do something a little different from the norm. Feb 29, 2016 Full Review Amanda Waltz The Film Stage Its message remains muddled at best as it tries, and fails, to effectively comment on the consequences of rape culture. Rated: C- Feb 22, 2016 Full Review Rafael Paz Butaca Ancha A pretty straight forward film that touches familiar ground but it's full of energy. Liam D Not the worst revenge thriller out there and I can why it's most hateful critics are coming from but it's just okay and at 73mins it doesn't waste time Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member I am a sucker for retribution movies. I mean... of course she should have gone to the cops. So. I s enjoyed the revenge. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member A well done sexual assault revenge movie in my opinion. I see a lot of people were put off by it, but I loved that they didn't rely on showing the sexual assault and opted for scenes simply alluding to the assault. It felt a lot less exploitative than most rape revenge movies while still keeping the horror ever present throughout the whole thing. The ambiguous ending was a bit frustrating just as ambiguous endings should be. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Very real life situations. Scary!! Definitely a must see! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member When this kind of horror film is done well, we can forget that it's going over well-trodden ground, and sit back and just enjoy it. Unfortunately, Bound To Vengeance isn't nearly original, or well-made enough for that. It has so many plot holes that they become difficult to ignore, and our suspension of disbelief is stretched beyond breaking point. This is a film only for people who want a lot of gore and don't care too much about story. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member A little ambitious in its narrative but the moral ambiguity in the main character's quest for revenge is actually very enthralling. Worth watching. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
