graham j Really entertaining exploitation shlock fest with mutant trees, dwarfs in loincloths, tiki gods and rubber monsters. Great fun if that's your thing! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/04/23 Full Review John R CINEMATIC TITANIC (Danger on Tiki Island) Definitely a cool aesthetic, but this is just so wooden and stilted. Best Riffs: We haven't had a straight crew in years! It's funny cuz its sex! That's not how you pronounce it. Beach Boy version of Fred McMurray. I see you're a little short staffed today. I have to save her. It's way too late in the movie for me to hook up with anyone else. That's not sudden, that's quite gradual. Oh she's thinking about it! In Russia, the trees carve initials in you! I want you to say hello to the mutant monster that is: my tongue! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member With an actress named "Beverly Hills" in the cast, what could go wrong? Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Saw this at a Cinematic Titanic show, wherein the old school MST3K cast/writers do the MST3K thing to the film live. There were a lot of dwarves in this movie. Had a great time. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member this films plot is actually quite good,it has that certain low grade charm, which had me sucked in right away when scientists on a remote pacific island mentioned they were in search of mutated life forms caused by the bomb testing in Bikini..cool/shitty fx, tropical plants which attack bad acting humans, and a goofy looking monster add to the flavor of this late 60's filipino gem. LOTS of fun. it is the second film in the "Blood Island" series, but this film is actually unrelated to the other two..the third was a sequel to the first. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member The first of the Blood Island series, BRIDES delivers all the nudity and violence the drive-in audience of 1968 had come to expect. Beverly Powers is stunning and plays a nymphomaniac like she was born to the role. Typical mad scientist with radioactive monster on island fare but strangely compulsive.
