Cyril Joyce A All the heck i wanted to speak is that, this is also my favorite movie, on how Jodi give justice to Clarita's character, she nailed it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/15/23 Full Review Kikavelity Clarita was a good possession movie they change some of the storyline they change American priest to 2 filipino priest but the story is good. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/09/23 Full Review Janela C I think there's something lacking with the acting. The characters' reactions to some scenes are not enough and doesn't fit with the situation. One example of this is the deathbed scene of Clarita's mother. Clarita's grief, for me, is inadequate. There are even no tears on her face! (If there are, though, I think it would be better if they pointed it out, maybe zoom in her tear-streaked face or something) But she's great on the possession scenes. Another example is the cave scene. If I saw a bunch of snakes on the floor, even if I'm in on the whole supernatural stuff, I would still be screaming my heart out. The priest seemed very calm about it though; it took him a while to persuade the journalist to get out. A film about possession may be nothing without referencing the divine; but for this movie, I think the referencing gets kind of overboard. There are certain scenes which seemed to belong to a drama film, and not horror. But the mirror scene freaked me out, I think that's the only part that I liked on the film. The backstories of the 2 protagonists are also nice and dark. I only said 2 because the older priest's backstory is sort of vague. I wanted more. It would be nice to have a little flashback scene for the older priest too. All in all, the film has some originality into it. But it's not entirely different to other possession movies out there. In fact, I started watching this last March 18 and only finished it today. Because I got bored halfway. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Jodi Sta. Maria was absolutely fantastic! She did a great job of demanding your attention anytime she was on the screen. The run time is pretty short, so you would think they would rely on scaring you from the beginning. You are introduced to the plot almost immediately but Clarita refuses to not give the needed back stories throughout. I wish the movie was a little more confident in its terror scenes. At times you could feel a lot of momentum building, only to cut to a back story. The overall layout of this movie was very unique and it certainly wasn’t afraid to be itself. At the least, go watch Jodi she is worth every penny. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/07/19 Full Review Jeneth D Good movie. Judy Sta.
