Audience Member In Japan, even drop-outs get a high school. Yakuza wannabes, a robot, and a gorilla attend this school with no teachers. A series of mildly amusing skits tell the story of the worst high school in Japan. THERE'S NOTHING ABOUTR IT THAT IS GOOD OR FUNNY!!!! WHY DID SOMEONE HAVE TO TAKE A GREAT ANIME LIKE "CROMARTIE HIGH SCHOOL" AND TURN IT INTO A LIVE ACTION MOVIE!!!! WHO THOUGHT OF SOMETHING REALLY F***ING STUPID LIKE THIS ONE. MOVIE DIRECTORS NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT MAKING LIVE-ACTION ANIME BASED MOVIES IS NEVER A GOOD IDEA!!! THE LIVE ACTION "DEATH NOTE" MOVIES WERE NOT VERY GOOD AND NEITHER WAS THAT GOD AWFUL "DRAGONBALL: EVOLUTION" MOVIE. DIRECTORS THAT DO STUFF LIKE THIS NEED TO BE FIRED FROM THEIR JOBS. Rated 4/5 Stars •  Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Weird and wacky Japanese comedy set in a high school which has a gorilla called Whoopi, a robot and a mute Freddie Mercury lookalike as pupils. Some of the jokes are a bit hit and miss but there's a wonderful spoof of The Exorcist involving the school robot and a cat! Things get even more strange when an alien ape from space called Gori invades and plans to conquer the Earth (Gori was a character in an old 70's sci-fi show called Spectreman but I didn't know that). I think this movie is an acquired taste and not everybody will understand and like it.
