Dallas H How come I just now discovered this vampire western movie? I really enjoyed this gem of a genre mashup. I guess I'll need to pick up a Blu-ray copy and a wall poster. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/26/25 Full Review CodyZamboni Z Genre mashup, A Western vampire movie, Watchable, Vampire is a daywalker who preys on town's young girls, He falls for idiot blonde girl land owner, who is feuding with a jerk over property rights, The vampire gunfighter never loses a gunfight, is one of the more clever twists on the genres, I wish there were more of these moments., Biggest drawbacks - movie ends up with lame finale, and the blonde idiot girl is so annoying, Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/24/25 Full Review Ted B. 3.0 stars; As hokey as it sounds, a vampire western, they actually made it work. A combination of a moralistic Western plot, combined with a Hammer style Vampire as the bad guy (black outfit and all), a cast of experienced actors led by Eric Fleming, who had a western TV series of his own, topped off by that eerie electronic sound made popular back in the 50s horror movies. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/23/25 Full Review Audience Member "Curse of the Undead" is not a bad movie by any means. The cast is made up of good actors who try their best with what they are given. Also I will admit that I like the fact that the writers decided to do something a little different with the vampire in this movie (For example, the vampire can be out and about during the day. The vampire does not transform into a bat or anything else.). However that is pretty much the only positive thing to say about the movie. Overall, the movie is just mediocre to say the least. I was not bored, but when the movie was over I just did not care much for it. If you are looking for a piece of mindless entertainment to pass the time and you can't find "The Star Wars Holiday Special" on YouTube, I would recommend seeing "Curse of the Undead". otherwise don't bother. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Saw this on Svengoolie and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The characters are complex and well acted, the story makes sense but is not predictable, and the blend of western and vampire movie work well if you are a fan of those two genres. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member An original and entertaining vampire movie, with a very good director of photography, Ellis W. Carter whom plays delightfully with the shadows and the lights and a really cool music score by Irvin Gertz (Jack Arnold's Monster on the campus). No big effects nor much $$$ to produce, only took 18 days to film it, but it's not dumb at any time. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews
