Amy L Only one person has reviewed this? I agree that Adam carried the band until he didn't. I found Blake mannered, but that doesn't make him necessarily areogant (this is the only man to whom I'm sexually attracted). I was riveted. I could have watched it like that Beatles one, but it is interesting in that they can comment in context. I missed this (2017 was not a good year for me). It made me really happy. I'd say fan must watch. What the fuck? How was this not more reviewed. Have we forgotten Jawbreaker? That's so sad. I really enjoyed it. I was sad that it ended. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/14/23 Full Review Audience Member I've been following this band since I was 15, I'm now 40. This movie shows us behind the scenes of what led to the creation and downfall of Jawbreaker. I believe after watching this, it was Blake who should be blamed (mostly for his treatment to Chris). Though he was younger when they broke up, for the reunion taping of this he was still arrogant, ungenerous, and a bit pretentious in his mood and body language during the filming with the band in the studio. This disturbed me. This man with the help of others (and sometimes not) has created what some would consider the soundtrack of their youth, and I am grateful for that. I recently saw them in LA and the music was incredible, still, though, Blake would take shots at Chris between songs about his pants...because they were green? The reason why I think the band stayed together, as far as personalities and interactions, was because of Adam. When you step back and look at it, Adam seemed to carry this band. Now, I might be jaded, I might be just seeing what is portrayed on screen by the editor's intention, but I have a sinking feeling that this is who Blake is. Blake isn't Jawbreaker, and the band isn't Jawbreaker without Blake. They are a trinity of sound and flow. Take one out and it's not the same as it was before. I'm hoping now that since they have toured and see what an impact they can still have on the world and music that they all can be grateful for each other and the parts that they have played in each other's lives. Maybe they just all need to do ayahuasca together and really open up about each other. Maybe just maybe, they need to be emo to themselves in order to be emo to the world. Or not, whatever I just hope they find happiness, play more, and makemore music together. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews
