      Karl B Great 80s kung fu comedy and excellent Donnie Yen kung fu. You see why he won wushu contests. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/02/22 Full Review camille l Premier film avec Donnie Yen, en star qui plus est, Drunken Tai Chi ressemble à tout ce que Yuen Woo-Ping a pu faire auparavant. Le film est une comédie balourde remplie de combats qui n'ont pas lieu d'être et qui pourtant délivrent tout ce qu'on attend d'un tel déluge de non-sens bien hongkongais. Or, Drunken Tai Chi se trouve être un peu plus réussi que les Miracle Fighters, probablement grâce à sa star, qui bouffe l'écran dès qu'il le peut, et grâce à son rythme, un peu plus soutenu que les précédents films de Yuen Woo-Ping. Certains passages sont vraiment réussis, comme le breakdance de l'immense Donnie Yen et la musique est particulièrement bonne (et moderne). Il en reste qu'un tel n'importe quoi fatigue bien avant le générique de fin. C'est bien dommage car si Yuen Woo-Ping se canalisait, il pourrait faire de très bons films, presque au niveau de Stephen Chow. Nice kung fu moves. With lots of funny moves and dialogue. A naughty guy ride a bicycle and bully people around. Donnie also ride bicycle and can perform stunts. The guy is angry and fight him but no match. Donnie saw a police and dare him to throw a rock at him. He got trick and is caught. Yuen Yat Chor is Donnie brother. Their father dotes on Donnie more. He cause trouble and the father punish YC. Lydia Sum is too fat to cross a wooden plank bridge. She juggle her 2 loads but a pigeon spoil her momentum and she fell. Lydia go to Donnie shop to buy clothes but he accidentally step on it and torn. They fight and Donnie isn't her match. Their fight is good and funny at the same time. Father ask YC to carry the sedan for Donnie. Halfway through, Donnie want YC to seat but he refuse, so Donnie ask the server to seat. The naughty guy ambush with firecrackers and the server got hit. He swallow the whistle and the helper keep firing the crackers at him. They attack the brothers with crackers stick but end up beaten. Donnie wrap the guy with crackers but YC ask him to let go. He fling the fire and accidentally light up, the guy end up hurt badly. The father hire a killer Yuen Shun Yee to kill Donnie and family. Donnie father sleep in his treasure and chain them together. The killer burn the treasure and kill them both. Donnie is elsewhere playing. The killer is mute and has a son who is often bullied by other kids. Yuen Cheung-Yan is a skillful puppeteer. 3 guys find him trouble and he use his puppet to defeat them. Donnie thought they are bullying the old man and fight them but destroy his stage instead. He make Donnie work for him as compensate. He don't know how to sweep floor and CY demonstrate. Donnie seat and relax instead. Lydia tell Donnie not to be afraid of her and treat him good after knowing his story. She teach him how to press the cotton and have fun dancing on table top. Lydia hope to have a son and get a potion for CY to make him potent. He blow off the prayer candle for son and angers Lydia, she ask him to scram. The killer son is kidnap in the street and Donnie chase after. After beating them up, he bring the child back to the nursery. The killer saw Donnie and remember he have not kill him. Lydia keep asking CY to do chores and he had enough and left. Lydia promise she will not do that in future and the role reverse. The killer beat Donnie and he is lucky to escape. He is at Lydia house doorstep but dare not enter. The couple is sighing if only they didn't chase him away and he can be their son. Donnie tell them about the hard punches of the killer and CY want to teach him Tai-chi to counter the moves. Donnie prefer hard punches but CY ask him to beat cotton he fail. They teach him more moves and he mastered it. The father receive info of Donnie survival. CY is invited to perform for him and must have innovative. Donnie dress himself as a puppet and showcase his cool dance moves. He walk past the naughty guy room and he is crazy. He overheard the father say about the killings and they fight. The guy keep treating his father as Donnie and eventually kill him with a sabre. The killer find Donnie at home and fight. He is very powerful and Donnie isn't up to his standard. When the ash spew onto their eyes, Donnie use the blind feel moves. The killer is kill by Donnie. He go to the nursery to play with his child.
