Audience Member Worth watching for the ludicrous ending alone. Before that it drags in parts, but the story is classic exploitation. Women use their vaginas to smuggle drugs. Plenty of breasts, bad effects and music so terrible it's funny. There isn't much inquisition or torture, especially compared to Hanzo the Razor, that's probably why they dropped the subtitle. A pinky violence classic. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Great fun! A perfect blend of excessive nudity and violence. The soundtrack is amazing! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Reiko Ike returns as skilled gambler and swordswoman Ocho Inoshika in this unrelated sequel to Norifumi Suzuki's Sex and Fury directed by Ero Guro master Teruo Ishii (Joys of Torture series, Horrors of Malformed Men, Blind Woman's Curse). The film begins with Ms. Ocho be drugged, captured, and sexually tortured, perhaps even raped. Ms. Ocho seeks revenge; however, in the research of the men responsible she uncovers a web of deceit, sexploitation, rape, slavery, and drug dealing. Ocho now realizes it will take more then just the killing of these men to exact revenge. She now wishes to bring down the entire regime and not just the men responsible for taking advantage of her. “You big assed, piss smelling, little tramp...” Teruo Ishii, director of Tattooed Swordswoman, Hell’s Tattooers, and Screwed, directs Female Yakuza. The Pinky Violence films, at least the two I have seen, are abstract at best. The stories are never strait line, and have more going on then you may expect. However, the film shows vast amounts of nudity, sex scenes, rape and sexploitation, and always revenge plots. All these attributes would not be bad it they were delivered with better purpose. In the reading of the plot and storyline, this film sounds better then it is. “You got a disease?” “That’s right, but when I’m better I’ll come back and poke you once or twice.” The opening fight sequence in the rain, the switching of the priests clothes, first brothel fight scene with the lady bosses ass on fire, young Ocho cheating while gambling, revenge for the earlier gambling scene, insane asylum scene, and the strange final fight were all entertaining. The snot and pissing scenes along with the dude with eye shadow were all a bit disturbing. The music was solid, the over use of sex was interesting, and there are quit a few people running around without fingers after this film. Why does the brothel turn into a Girl Scout troop in the end? “As a favor amongst women, please spare the middle finger.” Female Yakuza, Sex and Fury, and Lady Snowblood are amongst the films that later inspired the great Kill Bill series. I will say Lady Snowblood is easily where Kill Bill is directly derived from; however, both Lady Snowblood and Female Yakuza were released in 1973. I usually find these early seventies pieces extremely entertaining. The two Pinky Violence films I have viewed are the exceptions to the rule. Both have a story with potential for greatness, but Ishii spends too much time focused on sex scenes. I believe Ishii becomes too fascinated with making a soft porn type film and fails with the completion of his tale. His films usually start in the right direction then take drastic turns into pointlessness. “The funs diluted if she’s asleep.” Grade: D- Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews
