Robin S I've watched the first 14 minutes, and I'm getting a kick out of it, so far! So kitsch, so schlocky, so early 60's....far out! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/03/24 Full Review nick s The stilted acting was too hard to get past... starting with the old professor who seemed uncomfortable saying his lines. Frankensteins daughter had a paper mache face that was made by middle school students. I think most audience members will be trembling from chuckles rather than fear. The movie is not remotely scary. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/30/24 Full Review Audience Member This is the stuff of cheesy legends. An attractive young women, living with her uncle, and her friends have to contend with a mad scientist wishing to replicate Frankensteins work. The twist? Use a women's brain cause they are far more docile and obedient. I mean obviously right. As you would expect this plan leads to the exact opposite results. The acting is terrible. The movie cuts in and out and bounces at points. The band on their patio gets as much film time as the monster which is good. the makeup is horrendous and the costume is horrific in all the wrong ways. Just all the makings of a great terrible movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Cleaning out the puke stations at an octoberfest would be a MORE enjoyable experience! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member More mad experiments with Dr Frankenstein...--So much fun it's scary.. Epic Frankenstein Trash!! Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member I don't know who approved the premise of this movie but they should have had their head examined. This sounds like an idea pitched in a board room full of ideas but immediately discarded. Frankenstein's Daughter plays very much like a William Castle movie, which might have been the approach. A lot of things don't make sense and are never resolved, like the fact that Trudy is constantly drugged into being a monster for no apparent reason because the mad doctor is already working on his own monster and not particularly concerned with the one he drugs every night. I don't know. There were a couple of genuinely creepy moments during the transformations, and probably would have scared me as a kid, but this was more or less a waste of time. There's some mystery and suspense, but the motives and logic are just a mess. Even in a dumb horror movie that stuff needs to work if I'm supposed to be taking it seriously, and the movie wants me to do that, and I can't. Another skippable movie with a horrible premise and execution. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
