Jeffrey M. Anderson Common Sense Media It's not exactly smooth -- it smacks of a limited budget or a rushed production -- but this animated Christmas movie for kids is still sweetly charming, adorably silly, and full of good cheer. Rated: 3/5 Nov 14, 2023 Full Review Avi Offer NYC Movie Guru A harmless and amusing adventure. Beneath its story, there's a palpable heartbeat and a positive message about believing in the magic of Christmas which kids will appreciate. Nov 3, 2023 Full Review Mike McGranaghan Aisle Seat If you want to take your kids to see a sweet Christmas picture that imparts an uplifting message for the holiday season, this is exactly what you’re looking for. Glisten and the Merry Mission Great movie and cute characters-animationWell Done!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/05/23 Full Review Anne 1. The "Spirit of Christmas" is believing in a sparkly reindeer? Ugh. 2. Far too many and too lengthy scary scenes of aggressive wolves baring their teeth. These scenes went on and on, causing the preschool kids to cry and hide their eyes. The bear could have been a little less scary and a little less depressed. 3. We hated how this film took concepts such as the true spirit of Christmas, the Christmas star, gift giving, and St Nicholas/Santa Claus, and reduced them mostly to secular drivel. 4. The animation was colorful and sometimes cute, sometimes strangely off-putting (the glassy eyes, all alike and oddly staring. 5. The little elf girl walking her mom to work and being left to her own devices and to care for herself. Not a good example for anyone! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/05/23 Full Review Stephanie H Super fun, my kids couldn't get enough!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/07/23 Full Review Clark T Bright, colorful, and fun enough for my young kids while also being engaging for my older ones. My wife and I even liked it! I mean, Chevy Chase as Santa?? PERFECT casting. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/09/23 Full Review Rebecca L Took my kids to see this over the weekend and we all loved it. Fun and full of heart, it reminded me of the holiday classics I watched on TV as a kid. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/09/23 Full Review Katie C My family and I watched this film opening weekend and I was filled with nostalgia. This is the kind of movie I remember watching as a child and it brought me so much joy to share it with my three children. It was refreshing to see a genuinely child-friendly movie with a sweet message. Highly recommend! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
