After leaving London for the English countryside, writer A.A. Milne starts to spin fanciful yarns about his son's growing collection of stuffed animals. These stories form the basis for "Winnie-the-Pooh" and "The House at Pooh Corner," published respectively in 1926 and 1928. Milne and his family soon become swept up in the instant success of the books, while the enchanting tales bring hope and comfort to the rest of postwar England.

Wenlei Ma News.com.au The solid Goodbye Christopher Robin is a perfectly amiable and beautifully filmed semi-biopic. That it has Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Macdonald and Margot Robbie as the adult leads is to its credit. Rated: 3/5 Nov 23, 2017 Full Review Paul Byrnes Sydney Morning Herald Whatever truth the film holds is in the darkness between these parents and their offspring - but even that is not quite faithful enough. Rated: 3/5 Nov 22, 2017 Full Review Andrea Gronvall Chicago Reader The movie's focus on the caustic effects of celebrity make this narrative set in the first half of the 20th century particularly relevant for the media-frenzied 21st. Nov 2, 2017 Full Review Don Shanahan Every Movie Has a Lesson The experience of snuggling up with the Goodbye Christopher Robin blanket of testimony and memories is as affectingly dramatic as it is comfortably warm. Rated: 4/5 Oct 14, 2024 Full Review Hosea Rupprecht Pauline Media Studies While Goodbye, Christopher Robin is a bit of a sad story, I think it can be a great inspiration for parents to encourage their children's imaginations. Aug 25, 2021 Full Review Michael J. Casey Michael J. Cinema Curtis separates 'Goodbye Christopher Robin' from the usual ham-fisted, dry-as-dust bio-pic. Dani G Kind of sad story behind the beloved characters... I didn't knew it Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/17/24 Full Review Eduardo C A really good movie, at first, the photografy and the music are a totally acuarate complemet to every single scene. The story is treated in a very sad perspective, and several awfull events, such as; the consecuence of the war, the difficulties at the childhood, the failed attemp of the father. Are seen in a so coherent and interesting way, in fact, maybe the only mistake of the movie, is close the plot so fast, and let it a bit unclear at the begining, because the main idea is awesome. Finally, I've to say that the acting of all the characters, (speccialy Margot Robbie and the kid), gives you a suitable touch that add a lot to this fantastic story. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/24/23 Full Review Liam Y This was such a good story but it was so sad. Poor Christopher he hated being famous and I did not realize that Winnie The Pooh brought the family togeather and tore them apart this was a sad story Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/10/23 Full Review Gareth v There is probably a decent movie in there, but too often this comes across as nothing more than a big budget tele-movie.
