Jonh C A great reboot for the classic series! Although the first season was more childish, the last one raised it to a great level and showed us part of the story that we read when we were children. Not to mention that I add and tidy up a lot of things in the franchise. This would be the only bad thing it had was the mechanical sword. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/24 Full Review allen l Loved this version, talks about the mythology, and explains the beginning of Eternia. Was saddened the series ended with a new season apparently about to introduce Hordak. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member ATTENTION: My rating is just for the first episode, "the beginning". It is a decent start to what eventually leads to a 5 out of 5 star series! For those of you that watched the '80s Filmation series, you have to go into this thinking it's a new telling of that familiar series. The characters are tweaked just a little in both their look and in their personalities, but not so much that they become unrecognizable. When you see Evil-Lyn or Duncan, you'll know EXACTLY who their Filmation counterparts are. This series is made with so much love for the Master of the Universe property that came before it. It respects it while diving deeper and expanding the lore. This series has just about everything you want.. except for more than just 2 seasons. This show deserves more episodes! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member The 200X He-Man series was better than the original, better than the original She-Ra, and certainly better than the new She-Ra. It had many of the same writers and actors as Beast Wars, and the writing, acting, and animation was much better than the Filmation series. There was real action, real plot, real character development, and it was all leading up to a much bigger story that never reached its conclusion. I hope the series is completed someday. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Its a great reboot to a campy franchise. it gives a seriousness in which was needed from the likes of mustache-twirling villain Skeletor. It was a shame that it never went beyond season 2. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member I remember when this show first aired. I was a big fan of He-Man as a kid and wondered what a new take on the show would be like. I found this in a cheap bin at Wal-Mart for $3 and just couldn't pass it up. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: The Beginning is the first ten episodes of the series, and it's not really that bad. It's actually much better than most people made it out to be. It's not perfect, but it isn't a pile of crap either. I liked it, and I might even watch it again sometime just for fun. I guess that's the best thing I can say about it.
